Business situation

The UAP team ran an on-premise, highly-customized Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 ERP for many years. When Microsoft ended support for the legacy platform, leaders knew they needed to upgrade to a cloud solution and wanted a partner that could help implement quickly while training employees to use the new technology. They connected with Avanade and chose Microsoft Dynamics 365 as their ride into the future.

Solution

We started with an assessment of UAPs business processes, system configurations and data structures to confirm that cloud architecture was viable. We then tailored the migration strategy to the company’s requirements and quickly imported its customizations into Dynamics 365 to ensure employees were comfortable with the new solution and could follow their familiar processes.

Employees now use Dynamics 365 to extract information necessary for customer service, warehouse/inventory, finance and project management functions, and can respond to market changes faster so the company can remain competitive.
