What matters to Bridgestone employees is rolling ahead with digitalisation
Achieving what matters
Bridgestone, known for its premium tires, is a leader in sustainable mobility solutions. Now, the company is promoting digitalisation among its manufacturing employees, enhancing their workplace experience around innovation, co-creation and collaboration. Employees are creating their own secure applications using Microsoft Power Platform – including apps for product, pricing and workplace health and safety data – and have laid a foundation for AI-powered solutions and copilots, adding untold value to their team of citizen developers and customers.
Inspiring change
Bridgestone leaders wanted to take advantage of the company’s Power Platform capabilities. Previously, many teams were using Microsoft Excel for small projects or to satisfy their own requirements and needed more scalable solutions. The manufacturer launched an innovation program to create awareness around Power Platform and needed support for its newly launched Centre of Excellence (CoE). Leaders wanted a partner with development expertise and CoE experience and found that in Avanade.
Driving innovation
In promoting digitalisation across the company, Bridgestone built several secure, centralised applications globally, including:
- provides employees with technical information about Bridgestone’s complete line of tires.
- collects and stores workplace health and safety data.
- manages sales and pricing data.
- lets team members review and approve invoices.
Looking ahead, Bridgestone will continue scaling its team of citizen developers and begin implementing innovative technologies – including copilots and other AI-powered solutions – that will create added value for its global customers.
