Blundstone – an iconic Australian boot company – hit its goal of getting Microsoft Dynamics 365 live in time for the US "Black Friday" retail period and sold a record number of units during this time. The new solution ensures a core part of Blundstone’s business operates efficiently on a cloud-first, scalable platform, which includes advanced cybersecurity and disaster recovery. The company is now able to provide new services and customer offerings at pace. With the increased scalability and performance, employees can now accelerate shipping times, possible through direct API integrations.

As Blundstone’s existing ERP system had reached its end of life, leadership wanted to find and build a long-term relationship with a trusted systems integration partner to implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 across its operations in Australia, New Zealand and the US. Importantly, Blundstone needed to go live in the US with its new Dynamics 365 system in time for the busy holiday retail season.

Avanade Advisory reviewed Blundstone’s already in-flight Dynamics 365 project, and we carried out a solution implementation that encompassed the design, build, test and deploy phases of the project. Together with Blundstone’s team, we developed a formula for employees with diverse roles and responsibilities to move onto the platform in sequence, with a focus on reducing processing time, automating processes and improving supply chain accuracy.
