Kanazawa University Senior High School has set an educational goal to cultivate global human resources, guided by the school motto of "Autonomy and Independence." The school has been designated as a “Super Global High School” (SGH) by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and has been conducting a "Time for Comprehensive Research" program for approximately 10 years.

The goal is to foster high-quality problem-solving skills and encourage students to reflect on their own way of life through exploratory thinking and cross-disciplinary learning. This includes developing software and mobile applications. Since many teachers aren’t trained in application development, the school partnered with us to create a program so students can address development challenges on their own.

Our “flexible support” service offers tailored measures and materials, including training and Q&As, to address specific business issues. We first established a communication channel with teachers and students, then assisted with application development. We explained the problem-solving process in an easy-to-understand way that facilitates issue resolution. Activities occurred weekly with students, and we supported exhibitions where they showcased their work to the public.

For example, one student developed an application to help mitigate the decline in fish consumption. The "picture book" application showcases various types of fish and how to prepare them, with the aim of dispelling negative perceptions about fish and highlighting their positive effects.

In addition to the successful public exhibitions, the school now has a framework for application development that involves one-on-one supervision of students during each task, which directly contributes to their learning.
