RWE AG is one of Europe’s leading energy providers. In an effort to become carbon neutral by 2040, it is investing €1.5 billion a year in renewables. Part of this strategy included swapping its network and retail business for E.ON’s renewable energy assets, which left RWE without its own IT infrastructure.

To help map out and integrate a new IT environment, the company turned to Avanade for our in-depth knowledge and experience with the full suite of Microsoft technologies.

Avanade Advisory started the process with a six-week Health Check to gain a deeper understanding of RWE operations. We then worked with the company to define major milestones for its wider IT strategy. Implementing the latest innovative technologies from Microsoft will lay the foundation for RWE to evolve its business into a renewables organisation while also improving the workplace experience for its 17,000 employees.
